The launching conference of the new Creative Europe Programme for the 2021-2027 year period will take place this june 17 and 18, in Lisbon. On the first day of the conference, Westway LAB director Rui Torrinha will be part of the conversation panel, which will discuss how the preparatory actions from the Music Moves Europe (MME) paved the way to this new framework document, particularly on the music sector.

This is a high-level conference that will feature speakers from all over Europe – cultural agents, thinkers, politicians and governmental decision-makers – with the aim of getting Europe behind the new Creative Europe Programme and fostering broad debate on the main strategic innovations and new priorities for the 2021-2027 cycle.

As panelists on the session will be: Susanne Hollmann, Deputy Head of Unit at DG for Education and Culture of the European Commission; Corinne Sadki, Head of European Affairs and Gender Equality at Centre National de la Musique and Chairwoman at the European Music Exporters Exchange; and Ruud Berends, Head of Conference, ESNS & ETEP and founder and CEO of Networking Music; Helen Smith, Executive Chair of Impala.
