Canada Country Focus Reception
An extraordinary meeting point for cultures, over recent years Canada has given the world some of the most interesting composers and bands from the alternative music scene. It is therefore important to pay close attention to one of the world’s main centres of creation of independent music.
After Austria, in 2018, Westway LAB is organising a country tribute to Canada, that also reflects the festival’s aim to expand its ambit beyond European borders. The relationship with Canada had already given audiences the chance to listen to Pierre Kwenders in March (in the CIAJG's Black Box) and is now widened with the tribute to Canada in this year’s edition.
