Friday evening at Westway LAB starts with the concert film “The House on Trubnaya”, by the Soviet filmmaker Boris Barnet, composed and performed live by Adolfo Luxúria Canibal, António Rafael and Miguel Pedro, who will perform as Mão Morta Redux, a reduced format that marks a return to the period when the group, Mão Morta, had only three musicians. Considered to be an outsider of Soviet silent cinema, Boris Barnet uses satire to show the hypocrisy of the petty bourgeoisie, which survived the Bolshevik Revolution in the USSR and surreptitiously exploited those in need. With the help of cinema, the music gains greater breadth on stage with Mão Morta, a cult group, one of the most respected by Portuguese audiences, which has been performing for more than 30 years.
