ABOUT
When spring arrives, it brings with it a special event that takes over our calendars and connections: Westway LAB, LIVE, MEETING — a platform for creation, interaction, and enjoyment in the field of music, generating synergies, opportunities, and new projects, uniting the national and international scenes.
Established in 2014, as the first portuguese event with international reach to debate and develop the music sector, Westway LAB contributed for the emergence and success of several European projects, music careers, business models and new partnerships.
Westway is structured on 3 pilars: LAB, LIVE and MEETING.
LAB (artists-in-residence). One week of freedom, experimentation and musical co-creation in Candoso Creation Centre, connecting portuguese and foreign musicians through an Open Call selection process.
LIVE (concerts). A vibrant festival experience throughout the city to discover emerging Portuguese and international talent.
MEETING (conference, networking, keynotes, pitching and talks). The place to be in presence, connection and relationship between all agents in the sector, from both the national and international field.
